While working on a project on anti-gravity, the young person and student brilliance create the means of being propelled in universes parallel with reality. But the Quinn young person, and his companions, are unable to turn over in true reality and together, they slip of parallel worlds in parallel worlds, and benefit from it to make the astonishing discovered ones...

Like Code Quantum , the Sliders series rediscovers the virtues of science fiction. To know: to imagine the impossible one, for better understanding the company which surrounds us; to think the improbable one for better discovering the universe which surrounds us. If Sam Beckett passed from one time to another, the four heroes of Sliders slip of a "virtual" reality with another and like the hero of Code Quantum , they seek to find their world. And if the series wants to be to be diverting, it is especially intelligent. At least during a time, the series found the charm of the good series B of formerly.

While slipping from one world to another, the four travellers discover companies which resemble to us but which refers of very supported nature, absurd or intolerable. As the series anticipates it companies as one dreaded, fantastic or condemned. The series calls in question with much skill, the values and the virtues of our contemporary companies. Moreover, more than one once, the producers had to defend their scenarios. Because if the series is allowed to imagine insane things, it underlines also them through our world: violence, racism, sexism, sectarianism, policy etc.

Alas for it, Sliders slipped into its own trap. The secondary stories multiplied and when the series introduces the extraterrestrial ones, Kromaggs (hello the name!), the authors are them also lost. Moreover slide blocks changed; the departure of the principal character caused concern with the scenario writers and the series has somewhat to forget the with dimensions satirist. Then remain a sympathetic nerve series of science fiction, often funny and effective but which was alive in problems of scenario.

With such a concept that the voyages in universes parallel with our, the series allowed much amusing imagination. Quinn and his friends thus realized that it was not in good reality by discovering that the Communists gained the cold war, that Elvis had not died, that Kennedy was still a president, that the winter lasts all the year, that monarchies are always places from there, that the intellectuals are superstars, that the wizards replaced the doctors, that all is regulated in violence, that the world banished technology etc. Funnier still, are the episodes where the heroes are confronted with their doubles. One is sometimes surprised to see them in personalities which do not resemble to them at all. Quinn will be likely even to meet his double with female!

Quinn Mallory

Little genius of physics, impassioned sciences, Quinn Mallory is found inopportunely captive of his discovery. With his invention, the minutor, he tries to find the original Earth, but he must slip into several worlds to arrive there. Courageous and feeling responsible of what arrives to his comrades, he is ready with all to bring back them in their reality. To the wire of the voyages, he will learn much from things on his past and his family...

Wade Lagging

Right friend with Quinn, Wade however has weak for the young physicist. She will often fall under the charm from many men but the saleswoman of computers can also help her comrades thanks to her knowledge in data processing.

Rembrandt Lee Brown

Before being to involve in the vortex, this singer of soul did not know Quinn and the others; he went to a match to sing the American anthem when he was captured by the invention of Quinn. But with the wire of "slip", Rembrandt reveals a great courage and a direction of shifted enough humour.

Professor Maximilian Arturo

Professor of university, placid and very elegant Maximilian Arturo a little jealous of is discovered of his pupil. But once involved in parallel realities, his serious and his encyclopaedic knowledge helps more than one once his friends of misfortune.

Maggie Beckett

Old soldier, Maggie Beckett slips with Quinn after the death of Arturo. Alive of revenge, she wants to find the man who killed Arturo but also her husband. Very beautiful, she is also terribly effective when the situations are nervous. Gradually, she is charmed by Quinn.

Jerry O' Connell

Difficult to recognize the valorous one and scientific hero of Sliders when he appears for the first time at the screen, in "small large" in the very beautiful By Stand Me of Rob Reiner.
